(Not always) White Falcon

The White Falcon's a great guitar to customize in the game. You get it for free for just playing through the Solo Tour, for one, but while its very distinctive in its own right, it also looks great in colors other than the named white. Gretsch has actually commercially produced a couple color variations themselves for this showpiece axe. We'll be looking at two different "Falcons" as well as the original white.

WHITE FALCON
First introduced in 1955, its no surprise that more than a few legendary guitarists have picked up a White Falcon. The Reverend Horton Heat, Stephen Stills, Billy Duffy of The Cult, and Malcolm Young just to name a few.

BLACK FALCON
Though not as established as the White Falcon, the black variation is still pretty sweet. Also available with silver hardware, the Black Falcon is available with gold accents as you'll find in the game. Its garnered more than a few fans. Big John Bates of the Voo Doo Doolz plays a Black Falcon in addition to his White Falcon.

IRISH FALCON
Did you know that Bono has a signature guitar? Yep, that Bono. The singer/humanitarian. He evidently plays guitar a bit during U2 shows and Gretsch have designed this gorgeous green Falcon in his honor, complete with "The Soul is Goal" inscribed on the pick guard.
